Writing Goals Achieved!

This autumn I ran my first ever writer’s accountability group. The idea was to create a group that would help motivate people working on larger writing projects. We would meet every other week over the course of thirteen weeks, and each meeting functioned as a deadline.

While I knew how I wanted the group to run, I wasn’t sure if the people who signed up would commit fully (after all writers are a flaky bunch). But, not one to let uncertainty stop me, I went ahead and started the group anyway. I had three people sign up, and just like that the four of us became accountable to one another.

I am thrilled at how successful the group was! Everyone was fully on board, and everyone accomplished the goals that they set out for themselves at the beginning of the group.

I can’t wait to get the group running again in the new year!
